Welcome to AFC Lightning
We are a parent/volunteer run, family-friendly local football club based at Great Missenden in South Buckinghamshire, playing and training in the beautiful surroundings of The Misbourne School in Great Missenden (U6s to U16s) and at Lightning Park in Cryers Hill (U14s).
We are affiliated to the Berks & Bucks FA. We are an FA Charter Standard Club and our team managers and coaches are certified to at least FA Level 1. Our teams play development and competitive fixtures in the South Bucks Mini Soccer Conference and Wycombe and South Bucks Minor Football League respectively.
We have about 170 children playing across our various teams, aged between 4 and 16 years old. Since forming in April 2005 - formerly we were called AFC Holmer Green - we've made great progress in establishing ourselves as an FA Charter Standard Club and as one of the region's well regarded clubs, welcoming players (boys and girls) of all abilities and from all areas.
